Magda Embury has practiced law in the Cayman Islands since 1998 when she was admitted to the Cayman Islands bar, and is a member of the Law Society of the Cayman Islands. Magda Embury is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, York University in Toronto Ontario (LL.B. 1996), and was called to the bar of Saskatchewan, Canada in 1997.Magda Embury was previously the head of the Local Practice department of another major Cayman Islands law firm for ten years and then most recently until August 2009 was a partner in the Cayman Islands office of international law firm Maitland. Magda Embury has been recommended in the past in some of the major legal directories including Chambers Global as a recommended and recognized lawyer in the fields of Real Estate and Corporate Finance.
Magda Embury has experience in all areas of local Cayman Islands law, with a particular focus on local business related law including corporate/commercial, finance, mutual funds, employment and immigration and real estate and all legal matters related to the new Special Economic Zone in the Cayman Islands known as Cayman Enterprise City. Magda Embury also has considerable experience in wills, estates, probate and trust matters and is a Notary Public.
