Attorney at Law (Germany)Thomas Schwab mainly handles general contract, corporate and business law matters. He also deals with questions in connection with German inheritance law. Thomas Schwab drafts all kinds of business contracts, operating agreements, bylaws, and comprehensive legal opinions, and enforces our clients' claims against belated debitors. Thomas Schwab also assists non-European clients who intend to do business in Germany. In this respect, he not only provides support with incorporating companies or opening branches but also deals with questions in connection with German immigration law and visa law.
Besides his general business and contract law practice, Thomas Schwab specifically focuses on US immigration and visa law issues. He advises our clients who intend to travel or immigrate to the US for personal or business reasons on all applicable visa requirements and makes sure that our clients are well represented during the entire application process before the US General Consulate. Oftentimes the visa application process is closely linked to questions of US corporate and international tax law. This is especially true with regard to all visa categories that require a substantial investment in the US. In these cases, Thomas Schwab relies on his in-house colleagues and our cooperating partner firms in the US. Together with them he takes all necessary steps for setting up and properly structuring the US business.
At Freiburg University, Thomas Schwab not only studied law but also enrolled for philosophy, musicology, English and French literature. Thomas Schwab has further developed his legal skills by taking part in the course for becoming a Certified Contract & Trade Law Specialist.
