October 18, 2013
Location
Middlesex County Fire Academy
Sayreville
Sayreville, New Jersey
USA
Description
This course will appeal to LSRPs who regularly deal with oil impacted sites and wish to learn more about the latest in advanced forensics techniques for petroleum releases of gasoline and distillates. Since a majority of our sites are petroleum and many are old and comingled, this course is particularly relevant to practicing LSRPs.
In-class examples and exercises related to on-site assessment and remediation issues/concerns that may be encountered by practicing LSRPs will be included. Command of environmental chemistry, which includes an understanding of gas chromatography and combined gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, is strongly recommended.
