The conference provides a perfect opportunity to receive first-hand information from high-level experts from EU institutions, Member States’ authorities and academia. During the two days, the main changes proposed by the European Commission will be discussed focusing on issues relevant for Programming & Management as well as for Financial Management & Control, which will be held in parallel sessions on the first day.
The morning sessions of the second day will make you familiar with selected instruments that will play a crucial role in the upcoming programming period, namely the new integrated territorial approach and the widened use of financial instruments. During the afternoon sessions, the main compliance areas of EU funds with State aid rules and public procurement rules respectively will be explored in detail. As both fields have a major impact on the financing of infrastructure – given recent Court rulings – a case study on infrastructure will give a practical understanding of the rules applied.
