Description
American Conference Institute (ACI) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its 7th Annual Paragraph IV Disputes Conference which will take place at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Hotel in New York City on May 7-8, 2013 (workshops May 6 and 9.) An over 50% increase in early registrations has been seen so far, versus this same time period in 2012.
Steve Auten, Vice-Chair, Hatch-Waxman & Biologics Litigation Practice Group at Cozen O'Connor (formerly Chief IP Counsel at Sandoz) and an emeritus member of ACI’s Hatch-Waxman Advisory Board recently commented on his very popular Linkedin group, The Hatch-Waxman ANDA Litigation Forum that “[t]his is the premier Hatch-Waxman event of the year.” Auten went on to say “I can't recommend the program highly enough, which is filled with great content from true subject-matter experts. It's also a great opportunity to network with old friends, as well as meet some new ones.” He urged his fellow Hatch-Waxman litigators to “[m]ake room on [their] calendar [s] now and register for this can't-miss event.”
According to Lisa Piccolo, Senior Industry Manager, Life Sciences and Health Care with ACI, the early response to the program is unprecedented, but not entirely unexpected. “I’ve worked on this event from the very first time that it was held in 2007 and have seen its attendance grow steadily each year- but never like this.” Piccolo attributes these initial record registrations to the fact that the program this year features eleven judges; a dozen in-house counsel for brand names and generics; in addition to key representatives from PhRMA, GpHA, and the FTC.” She further noted that “it’s not surprising in light of the patent cliff, AIA, and a pending Supreme Court decision on ‘pay-for-delay’ that law firms and in-house counsel alike are jumping at the chance to attend the in-depth sessions as well as take advantage of the extensive networking and business development opportunities at the conference.”
