How to Order a Banner
HG.org offers premium subscribers the opportunity to purchase banner ads on HG.org to increase their visibility on our site and on the Internet. A limited number of Banner advertisements are available on all HG.org pages.
With more than 850,000 unique visitors per month, banner advertising on HG.org will provide quality traffic to your business. Moreover, HG.org includes creation of the graphic design of your ad in the cost of the banner advertising.

There are three banner sizes available and a total of six positions per page:

Banner Pages Available
All of the pages on HG.org are available for banner advertising. These include, but are not limited to the following:
Law Firm Directories, by State and Practice Area (Internationally, by Country and Practice Area):
A U.S. law firm can lock in one of the six positions available in the Law firm Directory pages for his state and area of practice (Example: Wrongful Death Illinois).
List of available practice areas.
Law Center Pages:
When people visit the HG.org Law Center searching for information about one of the 70 major core areas and 190 subcategories of practice area, your law firm can lock in one of the six positions available on any of these pages for your area of practice. (Example: Criminal Law and Family Law). List of law center pages.
Legal Articles:
The legal articles section of HG.org is one of our most popular destinations, with more than 850,000 unique visitors per month. Your law firm may lock in one of the six positions available on each of the major category pages within this section (Example: "Family Law"). List of available article categories.
Other Pages:
You can also purchase banners on any page in any other section of HG.org, such as the rest of the Centers (Legal Business Center, Law Student Center, Legal Employment Center, Estate Planning Center, U.S. Divorce Law Center, and more to come); Legal Job Listings; Law Events Calendar; Legal Association Directories; and other Law & Practice sections (US Law, States Law, Law Worldwide, EU, United Nations, Practice of Law).
HG.org is continually growing and adding "Centers" and information to the website. This helps attract more visitors to the website, which consists of potential clients looking for legal information. When your law firm specializes in any of these popular areas, you can lock in one of the six positions available on any of these pages, when available, to attract more business.
Ad Specifications:
Dimensions: Top - 468x60px; Square - 160x147px, and Rectangle - 160x75px
Sizes: 13000 and 17000 bytes
Position: Top position banners appear at the top of the page, square banners are placed at the top of the right hand column and rectangle ads appear at the bottom of the right hand column.
Coverage: Price covers one area of practice per State, Province or Country in the law firm directories section; or one area of practice in the legal articles section. For all other sections, pages, centers, etc., pricing is per page.
Formats: Ad banners will be rendered as jpeg or gif files. Animated gif files are allowed with a maximum of 3 rotating frames. (Example: Bankruptcy banners). No flash.
Changes: If you wish to change the graphics of your banner during your 12 month subscription timeframe, the cost will be $125 per change
Graphics Design: The creation of the ad banner is included in the price for the Banner Advertising. If you would like to provide your own design, simply send us the graphics for approval. We reserve the right to disallow any graphics we do not feel are appropriate
Your Website: All banner ads are linked directly to the purchaser's choice of website URL. (For best results, we recommend using a page in your site that corresponds to the subject of the ad, rather than your firm's home page.)
Banner Position - Important Notice
Please note that banner subscriptions do not apply to searches made in HG.org, nor to the applicable search results page. When a person types keywords into the HG.org search module, the banner for these keywords will not appear on the search results page. The banner only appears on the directories, or the pages on our website accessed directly.

As you can see, this URL includes the name of the area of practice, the city and the state (or country). In this case, the firms who purchased the top, square and rectangle banners appear on the directory.

If you type "Bankruptcy Amarillo Texas" in the search module, the URL will be
http://www.hg.org/lawfirms.asp
You will notice that the in the URL there is no mention of the area of practice or location.
In this case, the firms who purchased the banners will NOT appear on the directory. The reason being that the visitor might type keywords involving different areas of practice or location (Example: Bankruptcy filing law Amarillo Texas). This is why our banner advertising has been priced so moderately.
Bear in mind, the advantage of purchasing banners for your clients' practice areas and locations is that the major website search engines, like Google, capture and post our directories in their results pages and not the search results from within our site.
