The Oregon State Bar (OSB) was established in 1935 by the Oregon Legislative Assembly to license and discipline lawyers, regulate the practice of law, and provide a variety of services to bar members and the public. The bar is a public corporation and an instrumentality of the Oregon Judicial Department. It is funded entirely by membership and program fees, and does not receive any financial support in the form of taxpayer dollars from the state’s general fund. Membership is mandatory for lawyers who wish to practice law in Oregon.CLE

The goals of the National Conference of Women's Bar Associations are: To promote and assist the growth of local and statewide women’s bar associations and women’s bar sections of local and statewide bar associations; To serve as a vehicle for the exchange and dissemination of information and ideas among women’s bar associations and women’s bar sections of local and statewide bar associations; To promote and protect the interest of women attorneys in achieving full participation in all the rights, privileges, and benefits of the legal profession; and To promote the advancement of women in society and in the administration of justice.

The Clackamas County Bar Association is a non-profit organization comprised of attorneys and judges who reside or practice in Clackamas County. In 2005, approximately 250 members participated in CLEs, social events and served on a variety of committees to facilitate and communicate the needs of our local attorneys, judges and the need for a new Courthouse.
